I wonder if this is spam, sorry about that ^^;

[Edit by Mastress Alita: This is really spoiler heavy, please highlight to read.]

Sorry for the Loooong delay, okay left off after Hisagawa was murdered, Shuuji took this chance to catch up with Masayuki. What Masayuki doesn't know is that Shuuji had had a very screwed up childhood, his father was violent to Shuuji and his sister, one day when Shuuji's little sister told their father that she hated him and wanted her mother back, Shuuji's father went into a rage and tried to hit her, but in return Shuuji was beaten in place of his sister, that's when he developed his "million dollar smile" that he was so famous for, to avoid anymore conflicts with their father. Their father was shot one day due to an accident [?] and before he died he apologized to his children, Shuuji locked away that part of his memory until the time in high school when Masayuki cut his finger, the blood triggered the memory...I guess that's when Shuuji got his "psychic" ability in which he uses to cause deaths for his own pleasure.

And as you can see, if you get the good ending with Shuuji, you meet up with him again 3 years later after his mental treatment, the ending itself is kind of corny, but I liked it, after 5 hours of gameplay and reading every single line in the dialogue box, it was a nice finale ^^

I hope this gets more people to try out Stamp Out =]

Finally, I played "Invisible Sign -Isu-" too ^^ Wow, that game really has solid atmosphere. The whole story and optical parts work really well together to provide a dark atmosphere (like in Togainu no Chi). And great VA too! And all this in a doujin-game ^^; But sometimes I just had to thing "the producers watched The 6th Sense and several japanese Horror Movies too often" ^_~

Actually, I researched it and "Invisible Sign" is commercial (it is sold on Getchu, and Getchu doesn't sell doujin games). Yet nothing else by Bunny Hole Studio is, they are all doujin games. O_o

"Togainu no Chi" seems to be so popular, interesting because I don't care for Nitro+'s ero games at all, which while looking very plotful, are a bit on the bloody-and-smutty lines for me.

Hmm, maybe Bunny Hole Studio/lapin went commercial with Invisible Sign? They rearrenged thier homepage, too. Now everything is centered around Invisible Sign, the older games have their own section, but it looks a little seperatet from the rest of the site. Still, looks more like a seperation between "All Ages" main site and "18+" section. But maybe its not only All Ages/18+ seperation, but one between commercial/doujin, too? The upcoming game "breath" is in that 18+, but is announced with a price of 2.800 while the two Invisible Sign games are 5.800/6.800 Yen. So it seems they are still doing doujinshi-games (mostly 18+) but went commercial at least for Invisible Sign? Sounds confusing ^^;;

And yes, Togainu no Chi is a dark and bloody-smutty game ^^; But it really has some serious style and a complete dark atmosphere.

Right, their upcoming title is a doujinshi release. My guess is that "Bunny Hole Studio" is the name of the doujinshi circle, and that "Lapin" is the name for their commercial label. I'm thinking they share the same site since they share the same artist. (Maybe I'm wrong, just my thought)

I don't mind dark games, but Nitro+'s stuff... kinda... pushes past my tastes in the bloody-and-smutty department. I was kinda hoping the Chiral branch would tone down a bit since it is a different target audience. They do at least look plotful, I will give them that, and several of their titles have received "The Best Game" status at Getchu, but something about severed heads on the covers doesn't exactly interest me (I've seen worse, though).

Well, the staffroll at the end of Invisible Sign still says "Bunny Hole Studio" as producer and "Lapin" only as publisher ^^;;

I don't know the Nitro+ stuff, so I can't say, if Togainu no Chi is toned down in the bloody department. I personally don't think it is too bloody. But then again, I like the "dark atmoshphere" games like Enzai, Zettei Fukujuu Meirei, Invisible Sign, Togainu no Chi or Animamundi ^^;;
And I guess the Chiral stuff sells pretty good to the target audience... at least their homepage is full of merchandising - specially if u remember they've only done one game till now ^^

Right. It's the same staff, but one is published commercially (by Lapin), the other is not.

Nitro+ are merchandising whores. I go onto Getchu just to see what all their titles are and get a bunch of music CDs and UFO catcher dolls of characters in their games. :-P

*cheer* I wuv merchandising ^^; Well, at least the more "usefull" stuff like artbooks, soundtracks etc, not the UFO catcher or chara-pins ^_~ Too bad imports from japan are costy and I like to spend my money more on other things, than a merchandise-flood ^^

I'd totally buy the artbooks if I could find them. Such an artbook whore <3 Also if they even had wall scrolls up...I've only seen a couple of posters for Enzai or some such on EBay, haven't searched Yahoo JP Auctions yet though.

Togainu no Chi isn't that dark in my opinion, but then I do love me some dark games. It has a unique storyline very similar to Battle Royale, and there's definitely intriguing plot to look into. Unfortunately, the option choices are...shall we say...abysmal. Most of it's just reading tons of text with I think at most 5 junctions where you could choose? Kinda pathetic. I love the artwork though...Shiki's so hot.

I collect BL-game artbooks and manga too. ^_^ Though my collection is pretty small... Both Apocripha/0 artbooks, the three manga volumes, the novel, a Sukisho artbook, the Gakuen Heaven manga and an artbook, the two Oujisama Lv1 manga, the Angel's Feather artbook, and a book of different collected images from a variety of BL artists (very cool). Have some Angelique, Gakuen Heaven, and one Apocripha/0 doujinshi as well. Heehee, I actually do have a character pin though -- Ruby from Apocripha/0, which two of my friends gave me for my birthday a year ago. I wear him on my convention con badges. ^_^

I really like to collect artbooks too ^^ And OSTs. But I haven't bought a BLG-OST yet. I have some game OSTs, but mostly for RPGs. I think the soundtrack in most ren'ai games isn't worth buying a whole OST ^^;; The music from most games are often fitting but forgetable... maybe with one or two memorable tunes.
Don't have much game Artbooks either. I love Artbooks with little text and a lot of full colored and full page sized artworks. Most game artbooks seem to be text-heavy (for interviews and information about the game) and feature a lot of b/w concept artwork... often a couple of small drawings on one site. So I'm not much for game artbooks. The only ren'ai one I have is the one for "Meine Liebe" 'cause I couldn't resist Kaori Yuki goodness ^^;; But as guessed, there arent much color artworks nor are they full-page-size >.>

Agreed. There are few soundtracks that I just sit down and feel like listening to. The ones I really like still end up only having a handful of musics that I really love. (Exception being the Hana Ki Sou soundtrack. I so wish I could get the full album since I only have the director's cut. -_-;; But my sister said the theme sounded like it was sung by the mice on Cinderella. >_> Ooookay.)

But there really are some great soundtracks to bishoujo games. I got the I've Girls Collections from a trade, compilations of famous ero game theme songs by I've Sounds, and they are really great. Sometimes the solo albums of singers that do lots of ren'ai game themes are good too -- Kotoko's "Hane" (she's a famous singer for I've Sounds) and Katakiri Rekka (singer of the Kannagi no Tori and Animamundi themes) "Min no Uta" is another.

The artbooks I have lots of color art. Usually my gripe with game artbooks is they usually just feature the CGs from the game. Well uh, kinda defeats playing the game, and you can always see that art in the game. >_> I prefer additional art, originals, stuff from magazine ads and promo cards, ect. I do collect artbooks of PS2 game CGs though, since I don't have a PS2, and then I can see all the new images I'd otherwise not get to see.

(34721) Princess General II: Eushully (10) One of the best game I ever played
(19988) Xchange 2: English one (4.5) Entertaining, but no real story to speak of.

(36063) Utawarerumono: (9.7) Excellent story and battle scene.
(18804) Princess Holiday (9) Cute in all aspect
(24534) Hani Hani Operation Sanctuary (8) Can get bit boring, but it's a cute game

(451) White Album (9) Old game, but as tasteful as old wine
(20487) Alicesoft one (8.5) No story to speak of. But, gameplay is incredibly addictive.
(27384) Big Bang Age (9.5) Not quite Dai Akuji, but excellent game in any aspect.
(6140) Air (9): I actually only played one girl route (as far as english patch was made). But, this game tears my heart.
(15584) Sore wa Maiodoru Sakura no Youni (9.6): Excellent story and art.
(10647) Lovers (9.0): In terms of H scene, no game can follow this one.
(43161) The Spirit of Eternity Sword (9.3): Battle could have been much better, but excellent game nevertheless.
(2820) Exile Blood Royal (8.3): Training game. But, I liked it.
(11123) Wind (8.0): Pretty good game

(38041) Baldr Force (8.7): Very good game play
(8786) Dai Akuji (10): This game has everything
(44109) Sweet Knight 2 (9): Half training/ half rpg. Could have been better, but I liked it a lot.

(24430) A Girl I met tomorrow (8.1): Good story with a lot of twist. Bit sad.
(27902) December without a angel (7.5): I guess many people liked this game and I can see the reason. But, it's just not my type of the game
(155221) Majokko Alamode (9.8): Cute
(32364) School Days (8): Incredible animation and potential. But, everything could have been better.
(88941) Hero X Devil (9): Very enjoyable game play with good storyline.
(163801) Majokko Alamode II (8.1): Mint!
(129301) Parfeit Chocolar (10): 2 chan selected the best game in 2005, and I can't disagree with it.

Wow, that list is really helpful to me, often times I have no idea what to play from my eroge collection and your rankings will make that much easier. ^_^ (Especially since I have almost all of those in my collection)

*Yay, an UtaMono fan!*

Oh, I can help with the titles you don't know:

(24537) [Studio E.go!] Natsu Kagura
(20487) [Alice Soft] Mamanyonyo
(21233) [KISS] Custom Reido II
(99041) [Eushully] Sora Mikado Sen Ki
(7541) [Neko Neko Soft] Gin-iro
(105041) [Softhouse Chara] Nangoku Dominion
(99061) [Eushully] Meisyoku no Reiki

Game list with comments:

GxB
Angelique: This was my first gxb game. Sometimes it was little frustrating have to cycle though all the days just to get to the ending, though.
Haruka naru toki no naka de 1: It was fun having a RPG and gxb game in one. A little challenging as well.
Meine Liebe: As much as I love this game, I kept on getting bombs from all the girls and losing everyone's affection all the time.

BxG
Tokimeki Memorial: This is the game that popped my ren'ai game cherry. All the characters! Cute art! Pick destinations! I understand why this is so popular in Japan. However...like in Meine Liebe, I always get bombed by all the girls because I try too hard to keep them all in the content state.

BxB
24-ji, Kimi no Heart wa Nusumareru ~Kaitou Jade~: The 'quick answer or slow answer' option that determined the game ending and events were fun. Also, being able to pick who was seme and who was uke was the best thing ever; I love games that let you pick seme and uke. I enjoyed this game very much!
Akai Yoru Hoshi no Sasayaki wo Kike: Vampires are awesome.
Birdie ~Bokura no Ren'ai Shinrigaku~ : UGH get that ugly giant scrolling text off the screen. I miss my little text box.
Dally Dash!: A really, really short doujin game. Cute, I guess, if you find kidnapping cute. Um.
Enzai: Pretty hardcore, even for someone like me. Those boys are always so dirty...and even in the shower! By the way, someone feed Guys a cracker.
Guisard SHUFFLE: This game is just fun. Sentai force! Yay! After a couple of playthroughs, though, it gets a little annoying even with skip turned on because you can't skip the movements in the fighting scenes.
Hanamachi Monogatari: Pretty art and nice voice acting...but it just didn't hold my interest. I need to finish it someday or another.
Hitotsuya Monogatari: Just a cute and cuddly shounen-ai game.
Invisible Sign -Isu-: I loved this game! Intense atmosphere and storyline, and I like how they made you go through all the endings to get the true ending.
Kusari to Ai to Goraku wo: Bondage...and sex. Lots of sex. Too much sex?
Shinigami Shuugyou Hajimemashita: Everyone seems to like this game but me? Hmm.
Sore ga Bokura no Ren'ai Seigatsu: This game was sweet. Nice voice acting too. But is it just me, or did the sex-scene music sound like 'OH NO YOU GOT A BAD ENDING. PREPARE FOR NON-CON' music? I was worried at first, but it might've just been my speakers mutilated the sound.
STAMP OUT: The storyline was really great. I'll explain why I like it so much after this list.
S-TRIPPER: Interesting concept, taking a trip around the world. I suppose it was nice with so many characters to choose from.
Teikoku Sensenki: Even though I played it with the BL 18+ add-on...I still had more fun fighting the little battles with all the characters more than the BL!
Togainu no Chi: My first BxB game, so it's a special game to me. The plot was so deep, but that also made it really hard to figure out with my little translator....
Zettai Fukujuu Meirei: Meh. The art was pretty since it was by Yura, but it seemed like one of those 'bang all the characters!' games since you couldn't get a true ending with just one character.

My favorite of the BxB games is STAMP OUT. As a couple of the other posters said, the storyline is really interesting. The other endings with the other characters are alright, but Shuuji's route is probably the most story-driven and the most interesting because (SPOILERS! Highlight to read)Shuuji is the villan of the story. Going so far as to even try to kill his sister(or succeed in killing his sister, depending on what options you picked) makes him all the more evil. And even plotting to kill Akae, his love, if Akae doesn't stop him in time. Yeah, his true ending is kind of cheesy, but still. Oh, and the artwork is sexy too, but that's not the point. (End spoilers)
